Schizophrenia And Mace™

Why I Recommend Deliverance Before MACE for Schizophrenia
One question I hear more and more is this: "If I (or someone I love) am struggling with schizophrenia, can we still do MACE?"
MACE — the Mace Energy Method — is a powerful, targeted tool for clearing negative emotional identities, trauma imprints, and reactive patterns that keep people stuck. It helps shift the inner being at a deep level without requiring someone to relive every painful detail. It's fast, focused, and remarkably effective for emotional and inner transformation.
But here's the key truth I've learned in ministry: The order matters enormously.
God Does the Heavy Lifting First
When someone is battling schizophrenia — with its voices, confusion, paranoia, emotional fragmentation, or torment — there is always a spiritual dimension at work alongside trauma and brokenness. Unclean spirits, strongholds, generational patterns, or trauma-based covenants can attach to and amplify the struggle.
This is why I always advise the same sequence:
- Deliverance and foundational inner healing first.
Let God do the heavy lifting. Through the authority of Jesus Christ, we confront and remove demonic entities and oppression. We invite the Holy Spirit to heal the deepest wounds of the heart and soul — the trauma memories, rejections, abuses, and covenants that gave the enemy legal ground. This step brings clarity, peace, and authority that the person often hasn't experienced in a long time. It removes the spiritual interference that can block or complicate deeper work. - Then MACE — to shift the inner being.
Once the spiritual atmosphere is cleared and the major wounds have been touched by Jesus, MACE becomes incredibly effective. It targets the negative identities and energetic/emotional patterns that were formed in response to trauma. People often describe it as a profound "shift" — old reactive ways of being lose their power, and a new sense of freedom and wholeness emerges in the inner man.
This order protects the person and produces much better, more stable results. Doing MACE before addressing the spiritual roots can feel like trying to clean a house while the doors and windows are still wide open to the storm.
Why This Sequence Is Especially Important with Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia often involves overlapping layers:
- Spiritual oppression or entity attachment (voices that speak lies, torment, or blasphemy).
- Deep trauma imprints that create fractured inner structures.
- Emotional and identity-level patterns that keep the person cycling in fear, confusion, or reactivity.
When we minister deliverance and inner healing first, many of the tormenting voices and heavy oppression lift. The person gains spiritual clarity and authority. Then MACE can do what it does best — dis-create the negative identities and shift the inner landscape so the person can walk in greater stability and freedom.
I have seen beautiful fruit when people follow this order. The deliverance clears the way, inner healing brings Jesus into the pain, and MACE seals the work by transforming how the inner being responds to life.
Practical Wisdom for Those Considering MACE
- Expect layers. Freedom is often progressive. One round of deliverance and inner healing may open the door for MACE. Additional sessions may still be needed as deeper layers surface.
- Maintain the freedom. After the work, stay grounded in the Word, prayer, worship, and community. The enemy will try to return, but a clean house (Matthew 12:43-45) filled with the Holy Spirit is much harder for him to re-enter. Work to renew your mind.
- Test everything. As always, we test the spirits and look for lasting fruit — peace, clarity, joy, and the ability to walk in your God-given identity.
A Word of Hope
If you or someone you love is struggling with schizophrenia and wondering if MACE is even possible, hear this: Yes — but in the right order. God is not limited by diagnoses. He is the One who sets captives free, heals the brokenhearted, and restores the fragmented soul.
Let Him do the heavy lifting through deliverance and inner healing. Then let MACE help shift your inner being into greater alignment with who you are in Christ.
You were created for freedom. Jesus paid the price for it. And there are tools — both spiritual and practical — that the Lord can use to bring you into it.
