Training to be a MACE Practitioner

06/01/2025

I first discovered the MACE Energy Method in 2024 through Christian psychologist Jerry Marzinsky. Jerry not only introduced me to the technique—he also took me on a whirlwind tour of podcasts, where I shared my testimony of escaping schizophrenia. Captivated, I devoured both Jerry's book and founder John Mace's work, then spent months praying about whether this tool belonged in my ministry of tearing down strongholds that exalt themselves against Christ.

MACE is a stark departure from traditional talk therapy. Practitioners don't dig for trauma narratives; we zero in on how a person feels and the negative identities forged in life's "upsets." Emotions are viewed as energies that can lodge in the body and be released. That lens stretched me: I had to see feelings not just as reactions but as trapped spiritual and emotional currents that the Holy Spirit longs to set free.

Eventually, I enrolled in the training, convinced it would speed freedom for the women I counsel. I thought I'd finish in four, maybe five months. Reality humbled me. MACE has its own language, and every lesson surfaced fresh triggers that my trainer guided me to dis‑create. The process was frustrating at first, but each breakthrough prepared me to lead others through the same healing.

Five months later, I've mastered the coursework and stepped into my internship. Under a seasoned trainer's supervision, I'll refine these skills until I earn certification and licensure—milestones I'll proudly post on my website the moment they're official.

The journey has taken longer—and gone deeper—than I imagined, but I'm certain the MACE Energy Method will become a powerful, Christ‑honoring tool in the healing journeys of the women I serve.
